Accelerating Employee Development

BTRC's half-day program, Accelerating Employee Development, uses David Kolb's Learning Styles Inventory to enhance understanding of the four leaning styles and the extent to which a manager's own learning style might influence the training/development opportunities he/she creates or recognizes for others.

This program assists managers in assessing employee development needs and then matching activities to employee learning styles by:

  • Distinguishing Training Objectives from Performance Objectives
  • Using Individual Development Plans
  • Recognizing and Constructing Effective Training Designs
  • Knowing How to Train One-to-One
  • Knowing How to Test for Understanding
  • Offering Encouragement and Support

An additional benefit of this program is that it enables participants to apply content to accelerating and managing their own learning/development.
